The International Engineering Alliance Meetings (IEAM) 2025 will bring together global leaders in engineering education and professional practice to advance international collaboration and standards. Hosted by the Consejo de Acreditación de la Enseñanza de la Ingeniería (CACEI) in the vibrant city of Merida, Yucatan, this event provides a unique platform for networking, knowledge exchange, and strategic discussions.
Highlights of the Week
- Pre-Event Sessions (June 5–6): This year CACEI have arranged for a pre-event to the IEAM week which is a series of organised specialized workshops and sessions hosted by CACEI. This event is aimed at Mexican academics and industry stakeholders and enhancing visibility of the IEA within Mexico - a separate agenda will be provided for this. IEA Member Delegates are encouraged to attend and participate, CACEI are seeking IEA Members who are interested in participating in workshops on the GAPC, WA & IPEA.
- IEAM - General Assembly, Workshops and Meetings (June 8–13):
- Sessions addressing the future of the IEA engineering standards, global mobility, agreements rule development and best practices.
- Closed meetings for key groups, including the Washington, Sydney, and Dublin Accords, and APEC, IPEA, IETA, and AIET.
- Special receptions and a formal dinner at the University of Yucatan’s Main Building.
The week will conclude with the IEA General Assembly’s closing session and final wrap-up by the Governing Group. Delegates will have opportunities for personal engagement and cultural experiences in this historic and dynamic location.

IEAM 2025 - Weekly Agenda
